The Galió street remodelling project transforms the section between façades into a unique platform designed mainly for use by pedestrians and restricted vehicle traffic. Respecting the existing trees, the remodelling work transforms this space into a vast lounge with a central filtration filler strip (Sustainable Drainage Systems -SuDS), landscaped with native species to form small leisure areas.
The Sócrates benches installed on this strip with the Longo wood accessories, Quake lamps and Morella litter bins, are integrated into the leisure areas to form tiny squares combined with non-aligned shrub species and small trees.
The characteristic white shields of the Lola street lamps aligned on both sides of the street reinforce the structure of the street, flanked by buildings of various types with a varied range of heights and alignments.
