Urban Quake Beacon
Quake is a concrete marker and beacon in the shape of an inclined cube adapted to the ergonomics of people in which the grazing light escapes through contact of one of the sides with the ground, lighting paths and delimiting public areas without generating light dispersion to the upper hemisphere.
It responds to the request to create a concrete element that would function as a seat and a bollard, with LED lighting to illuminate the area at night. The concrete volume has a space for the lamp holder and a compartment that houses the driver that can be accessed for inspection purposes.
Quake is a small element made from dry mix concrete and with an etched stone finish, and is supplied in all the standard chart colours. Lamp holder with a 6 W LED strip. Built-in driver that can be inspected through the top of the cube.
The Quake beacon can easily be handled using polyester slings. The beacon is anchored to the paving or to a strip footing of 45 x 45 x 30 cm with three M12 x 140 threaded rods. With an opening at the bottom formed by a corrugated pipe for electrical wiring to pass through the concrete body.
