After the graduation and tutor experience of MFA master architect course of Tokyo University of Arts, he joined Miralles Tagliabue EMBT 1996. He worked several projects for Barcelona and International projects like Santa Catarina Market, Diagonal mar park, Palafolls Library, Arcelor Mittal art pavilion in Luxemburg and Spanish pavilion for Expo Shanghai.

Sergi Carulla and Oscar Blasco, architects and landscapers, received their training in Barcelona. For years they have headed urban design projects for various governments. In 2005 they founded the scob architecture and landscape studio, where they design projects that combine their expertise in both disciplines. Their work has received recognition locally and abroad in the form of prizes, competitions and articles in specialist journals. They now teach in the Master of Landscape Architecture course in Barcelona and the Italian Centre of Architecture in Milan.

Enric Miralles, a renowned Spanish architect, was born in Barcelona in 1955 and died prematurely in 2000. He studied at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB), from where he moved to Columbia University in New York. He lectured at both universities, and was awarded many prizes in his lifetime including the Gold Lion at the 1996 Venice Biennale. He was also a visiting lecturer at many schools of architecture and design. At Harvard university he held the "Kenzō Tange" Chair from 1992 onwards.

Josep Muxart was born in Barcelona in 1962. He graduated as an architect from the Barcelona School of Architecture, and began his career in 1992. In 1997 he was appointed by the Barcelona City Council as Head of the Renovations Office, and from 1999 to 2006 was Building Project Manager at the ProEixample public company. Since 2008 he has been attached as an architect to the Projects Department of the Municipalities Association's Directorate of Public Spaces for the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.

Jordi Badia (Barcelona, 1961) graduated in architecture from the ETSAB (Barcelona School of Architecture) in 1989. Founder and director of the BAAS architecture studio, Jordi Badia combines his professional task of an architect with that of a professor at the Department of Architectural Projects at ETSAB (2001-present). He also contributes to the ARA newspaper (2010-present) and is the editor of the architecture blog www.hicarquitectura.com since 2009.

Miguel Milá

Miguel Milá was born in Barcelona in 1932. In 1950, he joined the office run by architect Federico Correa and his brother, Alfonso Milá, until he set up his own industrial and interior design studio in 1958. Milá was a witness and a key figure in the birth of Spanish industrial design in the early 1960s.

Manuel Ruisánchez's career has followed two parallel paths in the professional and academic sphere. Since 1982 he has been a member of the Catalonia Polytechnic University's Urban and Regional Planning Department, a Senior Lecturer in Architecture and Landscape at the Valencia School of Architecture since 1991, Senior Lecturer in Urban Studies since 1991 and a lecturer on the Barcelona School of Architecture's Landscape Master Course since 1991. He has been a visiting professor at the Washington University of Saint Louis (1994 and 1996) and also at Harvard University (2000).
