Urdanibia Square is the central public space of the old town. The project recovers this emblematic zone for pedestrians and establishes a sense of complicity with the existing urban fabric and its history. The shape of the square absorbs the existing street and facade alignments, trees, public buildings and other historic street furniture into its design. A major challenge for this project is to give this large, previously fragmented space a new unitary aspect.
Escofet installed the Longo benches, the Raval bicycle stand, and the Push boundary, specifically developed for this project.
