The criteria adopted for the remodelling of the old neighbourhood of Ódena are based on the implementation of a new structure that orders and characterizes the public space with simplicity and formal clarity. The design focuses on preserving the rural aspect and on applying priority in favour of pedestrians.
The use of a continuous pavement of natural aggregate provides a good technical performance, low maintenance and an aspect of quality and simplicity, at a low cost. The protection of the pedestrian spaces has been solved with the moulded concrete PUSH bollards of the same colour of the pavement. In the vicinity of the hermitage of Sant Miguel de Ódena, an intervention has been made to improve the space with the gardening of the slopes, the installation of a table and stools ODOS and a SERP bench, emphasizing the boundary of the viewpoint.
