La Grande-Motte, France
Nestled along the shores of the Mediterranean is the seaside resort of La Grande-Motte, a perfect example of 1960s and 70s utopian architecture, designed by architect Jean Balladur.
One of the main challenges of the development project is restoring the promenade in terms of its original urban and scenic layout, by means of pedestrian paths connecting it to the city centre. Likewise, the spaces between the sea and the built-up area are enhanced with comfortable resting areas.
Escofet participated in installing street furniture along the seafront promenade. The Kelly seating collection, designed by Marc Aurel, and bespoke litter bins made using UHPC technology, with built-in ashtrays.
