The Kanji bench range provides a seat as a complement to all those elements of public areas that have not been initially designed for such a function, such as walls or steps. It also serves as an accessory for the Escofet concrete benches collection. With a silver-painted or stainless steel structure and FSC® tropical wood or Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester slats, the family is made up of a 60 cm chair and a 180 cm bench with or without a backrest.
A kanji is a Chinese character that is used in Japanese writing, where each has its own meaning but may be interpreted in different ways, depending on its context and combination. The Kanji seat accessories collection for use in public areas was designed in accordance with this desire for adaptability and versatility.
Kanji is intended for universal use, providing an ergonomic seat with multiple options in terms of the finish. It is designed for installation on walls built on site, and as a complement to most backless bench models from the Escofet catalogue, such as Sócrates, Longo, Box, Garonne and Godot, among others.
The support structure is made from machined steel plate with a thickness of 6 mm, zinc-plated and with a painted silver or polished stainless steel finish. The seats are made from FSC® certified tropical wood or GFRP slats RAL 7047 coloured, supplied with or without a back and in two lengths: 60 cm and 180 cm. Concealed permanent anchoring to a wall or a bench with stainless steel screws and metal expansion plugs.
