Bici-N is the universal bicycle parking model that cyclists prefer. It responds to a design that facilitates the safe parking of two bicycles in each element, with the possibility of securing the frame and wheels separately.
The architects Enric Pericas and Estrella Ordoñez designed Bici-N in 1994 for installation in the city of Barcelona as an element that assumes its function without interfering with the urban landscape. Since then, it has been included in the city’s site furnishings catalogue.
Its apparent simplicity is shown by the presence of the bicycles that arrive and are left in the silence of its surroundings.
It is made from a stainless steel tube in the shape of an inverted “U” with a diameter of 50 mm. and thickness of 2 mm. With a shiny polished finish coated with protective varnish. It is installed by recessing in any type of paving. It is distributed in parallel groups with a space of 80 cm between them and 95 cm from the street, if any.
