Milenio is a bench system that brilliantly synthesises the concepts of modularity, connectivity and interactivity among users, creating “meeting points” in the landscape. It grows in the order that offers the combinatorial capacity of the hexagon, as the basic geometry of aggregation, and continuity between modules with the inclined planes of its open joints.
The initial objective of Milenio was to offer an unusual site furnishing element whose contemporary identity was strongly linked to the Milennium Dome square in the city of Valladolid.
A natural artifice inspired by a neo-organic appearance, whose combinatorial capacity is always evident in the installation category, creating a fractured limit in continuity with the inclined planes of its open joints. Initially designed as two unique modules with a broken geometry; right and left, it was completed by a straight module, thus extending its multiple possibilities of aggregation.
Made from reinforced dry-mix concrete, it is manufactured in all the chart colours with an etched and waterproofed finish.
Due to its heavy weight and stability, it rests subtly on the ground, with no need for anchors. The 35-degree angle cut at the ends permits the installation of continuity modules, with no specific requirements in terms of precision.
