The project consists of the remodelling of an area of 4,400 m2 overlooked by the Casa de la cultura (Cultural Centre) of Lloret de Mar. Despite the limitations imposed by the existence of an underground car park, the remodelling operation proposes an open, versatile space in the centre, with areas around the perimeter for use by residents that have terraces, play areas and places in which to sit in the shade of the plane and the palm trees.
In the centre of the square, there will be three green oval-shaped islands with tamarinds and fragrant plants and a wall around the perimeter with concrete benches alongside. A large red-painted carpet will occupy the whole square, respecting some aspects of the original paving laid in 1993 by MBM arquitectes, such as the strips of paving surrounding the oval islands in the centre, two diagonal water channels and the small shrines located at the car park exit.
Escofet has participated by installing the Serp benches that partially border the three islands and the Soc seats that interact with them. Both models have integrated LED lamps.
