The Palma sand coloured paver is in semi-dry pressed cast stone. This material makes it suitable for pedestrian zones with occasional vehicle traffic. These 10 cm high pavers are laid on a 4-6 cm deep bed of sand spread on top of compacted and levelled gravel.

The pavers can be laid in different formations and densities to allow more or less grass to grow between them. There are two formats: Palma andPalmax2. This second model is double the size of the Palma paver, permitting endless compositional conjugations of the two in which gaps, directions and dimensions are the defining factors for the pavement.

The Palma series was created in 1987 by José Antonio Martínez Lapeña and Elías Torres in conjunction with Escofet to pave the monumental zone around Palma de Mallorca Cathedral.
