Underground station at one end of the Fira de Barcelona exhibition precinct in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, supplemented with the Foc Cisell Station on the opposite side of the fairgrounds.
Both of these stations on Metro Line 9 are based on three concepts:
1 – The station conceived as a museum for the Fira de Barcelona complex. The ceramic walls feature silkscreened images in the manner of a photographic archive ranging from 1890 until 2009. These images are shown in relief to recall the voids in the organic wall of the Fair's Pavilion 1, droplets of memory in the history of L'Hospitalet, frozen in time.
2 – The station as an entry point to the fairground, easily identifiable as part of the precinct. For this purpose, easily recognizable motifs and materials are used, like the design of the zinc blue concrete benches manufactured by Escofet, once again recalling the motifs on the organic wall of Pavilion 1.
3 – The water blue colour chosen for the Fira 2 station, referring to the raised corridor that links the Fair pavilions, and forest green chosen for Foc-Cisell station due to its proximity to Montjuïc hill.
