Escofet's historical archive in the Design Museum Barcelona

Escofet has donated to Barcelona’s Design Museum its historical archive and emblematic objects from the modernist era, a donation that allows the Museum to expand and complete the story of our Design.

The incorporation of the centenary company's archive into the Museum's Documentation Center is especially relevant, as Escofet is one of the companies in the city of Barcelona with a longer and more important history, closely linked to the city's transformation, as it happened with modernisme or the urban changes of the 80s and 90s.

The series of commercial catalogs, one of the most complete and interesting elements in the collection, allows to take a tour through the company's production. From the first hydraulic pavements in the late nineteenth century or the panot tiles, to the introduction of street furniture in the last decades, which remains as one of the company's values.
