Although freely laid out in appearance, the volumetrics seek to establish a permanent balance between the tensions that affect it in relation to its more immediate surroundings, in an urban sector that shows the confluence of circumstances that are to some extent contradictory between the traditional city and the exceptional conditions that feature in this specific spot. In all this, we must not forget the expressive possibilities offered by the development in height, a situation that was hitherto virtually unknown in the city when building it. The facades of the tower and the low buildings made out of architectural concrete panels, have been manufactured with a "textile" finish appearance obtained by placing in the bottom of the moulds sheets of raffia synthetic fibre, normally used for making sand bags.
